alright. was about to order it anyway. what would be a good lens for night shooting in general btw? any recommendings?
that lens is good for low light allso because it has f/1.8, so it lets alot light in. 50mm is bit tight for most general shooting tho, but you can find things to shoot with 50mm. one problem with using 50mm is that you need to use shorter shutterspeed than using wider lens. thumb rule with focal lenght and shutterspeed is using same shutterspeed as focal lenght on full frame, for example 50mm and 1/50th sec, but 50mm on 1.6crop body is around 80mm, so you need to use 1/80th sec, you can use shorter shutterspeed hand held(how much shorter depends on what you can hold steady), but camera shake shows easilly. i had 28mm 1.8 with my old 40d and that was pretty good for general shooting and 1.8 allows to shoot in low light, sigma 30mm 1.4 would be really good too(maybe bit better), but it depends on what focal lenght you like to use. using 10mm lens would let you use about 1/16th sec shutterspeed so you would get alot more light on sensor than using 50mm, but 10mm is REALLY wide, most likely too wide
