A picture doesn't get better just becaus it's hard to create.
Also, a bad picture isn't excused just because it's hard to make a good one.

That goes for pretty much anything.
Even though you learn during the process, it is the end product that you show to everybody else that matters to them!

I understand ^_^ this was for fun. wasn only showing it because i saw panning and I wanted to show too. I'll keep them to myself until I can execute correctly :lol:

Haha, same, I'm far from pro when it comes to panning as well :lol:

@RecoveryChannel

I think this kind of photography needs low distortion (straight lines), I would have chosen another focal length and made sure to have a straight photo.
But I like the idea! :)
6/10

I think the focus doesnt sit 100% right. nevertheless good use of dop and I like it in b/w. 7/10

funny story. actually this is a guest of our bar and I happened to take some photos because we had an event tonight. I was just trying to get a decent portrait of him, instead it turned out to look pretty interesting in large size on my computer. so I took him into ps, cropped alot away and made it a clean portrait with black background.

What?
Man, I think you should read up a bit on some photographic techniques before rating somebody's work.
The focus he's used was done purposely, with a low Fstop to create depth of field.

Personally I'd rate it an 8/10, only because of the composition, & perhaps not as much contrast as I normally like.

Agree, I see what he is trying to achieve with the darker setting but it's a little too much for me.

Thanks! :)

You'd like more contrast than the current version has?

he doesn't look bad but I really really dislike how his shirt completely disappears into the background...
