Great light, great subject!
I love the expression on the kid's face :)
But I find the background a little distracting..
I don't know how to rate it though...
Can I just leave my comments without a rate?
If no, then feel free to spank me :p

Here's my contribution...
Picture taken in April at Butterfly World in Fort Lauderdale, Florida...
I took so many pictures 'm not even finished going through them all...
And as I learn more post editing techniques, I play around a little more..
On this one I cropped it a little, and added some 'netteté' (the English word doesn't come in my mind atm)..
Blurred the background to get a smoother finish...
And ofc I added the border :D
But I'm not quite satisfied with the focus... The eye is not sharp enough :(
Still working on this on my new camera :)

I love the perspective, i hate when people shoot straight down at butterflys, snapping a shot from sideways is the best approach IMO. The composition is great, but it's lacking the "pop". Colors don't seem too rich.. semi de-saturated feeling. Also it's slightly soft. A little shallower DoF would help as well.

This is a great example, i learn by looking at other people's pictures, maybe you do too.

Great comp and DoF in this shot. It may just be me, granted its late and I've been drinking, but it seems slightly underexposed for the bird itself. As if the bg was what the shot was exposed in the camera's light meter... I like it a lot though! 7/10

I've got nothing new to post. But I love this topic.

Lol.

I saw this in your bw thread, and its probably my favorite out of the bunch. I love the compo and the lighting, plus it IS a cute subject xD 8.5/10

This shot was really annoying to get, ladybugs are so rude.

Pic is soft, no focal point, the reflections in her glasses is somewhat distracting. Not digging the split toning effect, but the composition is nice.

Not grainy?? Uh..

The base of their foot is naturally smooth.. You want me to go it and edit it?
