I usually delete any photos I know suck right on the camera, then I import to lightroom everything else even if I think I'm going to delete a lot of the other ones.

I've had quite a few photos that I originally would've thrown away, but I played around with them in lightroom before doing that, and ended up with something that I liked quite a lot.

i couldnt open my RAWs in my version PS either

so you need to download adobe DNG, and first convert them to digital negatives, then open them in the correct program.

find some tutorials and learn :P

this ones a bit underexposed, plus its an uninteresting background.

Yeah, I noticed the exposure issue as well. I wish I didn't make it so dark.

I'll look for some tutorials, do you know any decent ones?

shoot the subject in good lighting. try avoiding the shade if possible.
for something simple. have a shooting session at the park, you'll always get great lighting. greens a blue skies are vibrant and compliments eachother well when you have good bokeh :D

Day 5:

I think I choose lights because i think they're easy to photograph. I also didn't take very many photos today, so that may be why I chose this one.
