Why is a waste of money? Why do you want two average bodies when you can have one great body?

1. Save your cash then make the puchase? It's well worth it.
2. Sorry, I don't believe so if it's just a tamron 17-50 f2.8... Plus a 5d III will let you shoot up to 6400 with that F4 lens.
3. I'd take one 5d over those 2.

2. tamron is about 500 bucks and the 5d iii is 3500 bucks.. lol no.
3. 2 bodies with 2 lenses is better than 1body1lens..

Well, you've made up your mind

the mark 3 is far from groundbreaking. The autofocus is great, but unless you're shooting sports there's no need for it.

I do advise everyone who asks to get a full frame though. I'd rather have a used 5d than a crop frame, any crop frame. You can get used 5d's for 500-600 bucks.

I myself sold the mark 3 and downgraded to the 6d and used the extra cash for glass.

the AF alone makes it worth the upgrade/cost, let alone the other added upgrades

coming from a 60d.. it's night and day
