Ive been looking for a decent neg scanner myself. I wanted an Epson, they're at an affordable price too. The problem is the Epsons are reported to be a bit faulty from the reviews ive read.
Anyone use neg scanners? What's your opinion on epsons?
I'm Iso of one that scan both 35 and 120 flim size

Also I hear you can develop film in your bathroom so long as you can keep the light out.

ive seen someones work thats been scanned with an epson v600 or something like that, for 35mm and 120, and it's pretty good. if you can find the thing, its also decently priced.

i still like the dslr scanning method because it also allows you to get RAW data and more freedom to edit, and i hear that film scanners usually require some sort of editing software as well.

and yeah, a lot of people just use a dark closet or bathroom to develop the film. after it goes in the light proof tank, you can just walk over to any sink and do the rest in light.

edit: attaching a picture :P

its roughly shooting backlit negs with a macro lens on your dslr, and editing the picture in adobe raw or ps. its inexpensive and probably better than what some shops might do with scanning, but time consuming since there is a lot of editing.

edit: i think this needs a picture :)

This reminded me so much of a shot I used to love that I had to go find it, haha. Took this in 2010, when I lived in a place that made for awesome street photography.
