Thank you, but I was thinking the same thing about yours :P.

I don't know about that, most people don't get down with the soft black and whites. Shit, generally I'm all about the hard contrast black and whites, the soft look was a new one for me.

I actually love them. I tried a soft edit on this one and I didnt like how it turned out though. But on yours it compliments it perfectly, she looks so classic.

This is the soft one I tried, I feel like it just blehs her out.

great shot Xan
love the comp, crop, reflection, streaks of sunlight, great focus and detail on the eye
and she is just soooooo cute, growing up really fast though :D

winning shot, well done

e: perfect child portrait btw, start shooting kids and babies for money

i prefer slightly soft b&w contrast as yours is
not a fan of heavy b&w contrast but does have its place now and then

I agree, this one looks better with the harsh contrast due to the detail in her eyes.

Thank you :D.

She is, its depressing sometimes lol.

I actually do now! Ive only had one session with a baby and child so far, but it went pretty well I think. Its definitely what I want to specialize in.
