Have you actually used a sony dslr? They're mirror stomps the 7d and 5dii in movies, especially focusing. It's not even close. I've never tried the d7000, but I assume it's the same

Do you know parts of the movie ironman were filmed with a 5d ii?

Whaaaaaaaaaat? Sony is BEHIND in the camera game? They are revolutionizing the DSLR industry lol.....

A77 shoots like 12fps, 24 mp, translucent mirror, 1080p 60fps video for only 1400.

edit the only problem with sony camera's is that the lenses aren't up to par with canon/nikon and they are inferior in low light.

Don't see any revolution there, I see more using something other brands found useless:

1) Canon EOS 1V was shooting 10fps (made since 2000) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_EOS-1v
2) you should know that 24Mpix is just fooling newbs on APS-C and Mpix is overestimated at all (I made bigboard picture with Nikon D100 - 6Mpix, how far do you want to go?) ... also I believe this is reason, why Canon stopped hunting for Mpix (5D MkII vs 5D MkIII)
3) first translucent mirror was used in Canon Pellix in 1963 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_Pellix

I think Sony tries to get into business, but I just don't know about any serious photographer using it. Its more like some amateurs and photographers-wannabe cameras.

(and for record, some episodes of House, M.D. was shot on 5D MkII too)

For it's price point, it's absolutely revolutionary. You can't argue with that.

I'm pretty happy with my Nikon 1. Not the best. But I think it's a good deal for its price. Not too expensive. About 700.
