NO. I've looked at 7 copies of the 24-70 2.8 from Sigma and it blows. Seriously, I'd rather have a sandy 18-55 3.5-5.6 than that thing.

I would say maybe Canon t2i, 70-200mm L 2.8, and a with 20mm or 24mm

70-200mm L f/4 - 700

50mm - 130

$1430 over by 30

But I wouldnt spend that much if i was just starting out I would go with the Nikon d3100 if I just wanted a entry lvl and a 50mm
