Ok... there was no indication whatsoever about not taking pictures.
I didn't sell my pictures on the site of the competition.
It's a public event where anyone can go and watch.
I think she is pulling the card of trying to scare me so I give her the picture for free...
Well she doesn't know who she is dealing with.
Another photographer (professional) tried the intimidation trick with me, and when he saw it didn't work, he started to put down my way of photography, which didn't work either...
But that one, she has no one to provide her with quality pictures for her to provide to the media....
And she treated me like I'm some kinda person who gets intimidated...
I didn't reply to her e-mail, and good luck to her trying to get any picture from me now.
And if she uses any of my pictures without my permission, hello court.

Hell yeah she has no idea who she's dealing with! It doesn't sound right at all what she's saying. Good job, for her actions, she deserves zero photos from you. I will call her a coward if she uses your photo.

I should probably reply to her, at least to show her I am far from being intimidated by her.... but I'll wait to find the right words....
She is dumb, cause she might end up without any picture at all... I didn'T ask for anything, I just asked her to make me an offer....
The ball was in her camp, she could have offered me something really silly and I could have said yes...
To me it's like trying to get a rabbit to come close, then saying: if you don't come right now I'm gonna eat you' The hell with the rabbit

Sometimes it's worth doing it (almost) for free just to see your name credited.
The choice is yours!

I know..... but I really felt disrespect from her part... :(
I replied saying I would give her the picture in exchange for retroactive accreditation for the past week-end and accreditation for the same competition in 2012 :p
Let's see what she says....
I checked with another photographer and if there had been an accreditated photographer on site I might not have been allowed to advertize my pictures for sale...
But lucky me, he didn't show up.

That's just a win/win situation, congrats Marie. I hope all turns out well. Just remember that you have what they want so you have the upper edge here, you do have bargaining power.

Oh well, looks like I shouldn't hav been too happy....
I asked her what she had to offer me for the picture she is interested in...
She replied saying I came to the competition site to take pictures and sell them, without asking for accreditation...
She added she will close her eyes on this in exchange for the picture...

This is not a good move to get a picture from me.
Bribery? Since when do you need a permission to take pictures on a public site?

this is the karma for flaming me in ur thread, which i wasnt even gonna post in until i saw u trolling me for no reason.
