Not sure why you don't like that font... I actually like it a lot!
Another one I often use is the Rose-something that really looks like the 'wanted' far-west posters

I think to have a good business running, which I'm learning as I go, is to adapt to the differnt styles of the clients.
People riding in barrel racing won't like the same style as dressage riders... they are totally opposite.
Barrel racers are cowboys and cowgirls, and unless you are part of such group, you have no idea what I'm talking about.
I'm trying to shoot and edit my pictures depending of the crowd.
So far doing so I see an improvement... for the barrel racing crowd anyways.. which is, according to you guys, soooo far from photography.
I think it's art nonetheless, cause I add something, a context, an emotion to the picture.
You look at the textured photo and you feel you are 200 years back (that was my client's expression) and cowboys love it!
In dressage shows, what is important is if the horse AND the riders are in a very good position. That is the first thing they look at.
THe best photographer can be the worst dressage photographer if he/she doesn't get the team in harmony.
In barrel racing, what sells is when the situation looks out of control, and very intense... like a rider losing its reins (sold one like this) and the horse still going...
If it looks intense, then it's a seller, regardless if the photo is technically right.
I try to combine good photos and the different styles.
Back to the choice of font, I can't use a nice handwriting type font for a barrel racing photo... it will really look gay.
On the other hand, I can't use the rosewood font on a dressage or jumper photo as it has nothing to do with it. Has to be more classical.
Technically speaking... can't use a wide angle while shooting horses in action, they wil look difformed.
Better step back and use a zoom.
Those are all little things that the common person has no idea about, unless you learn about the crowd...
I am still learning, but so far my results are very positive

In less than 2 months, almost everyone knows about my pictures in the barrel racing crowd

Use Trajan.
edit: if a designer ever wanted to hire you for anything and saw you using papyrus, they wouldn't give you the job. Seriously.
Not trying to be harsh, but it's the truth.
