Because John wants to make a career out of photography and sell his images. "Nice shot" and "good work" doesn't cut it. It's even rare when a client will give you positive feedback. Usually if you don't hear anything it means it's good lol
I try and give him constructive criticism where I can, I would never say it's flat out shit or bag it because that isn't helpful at all. There is always something to learn from every shoot and if he doesn't receive
constructive comments he won't grow.
