Just a bare beauty dish pointing down directly? I have a regular white interior 22'" bd. It's kinda what you used right? Is yours gridded to control the spill?
Nah, not gridded, didn't need it, no sock either. I had the dish parallel to him but not in front, it was to the side. Turn on your modelling lamp and watch the way the light changes on the face when you alter the angle. When it's in front it's very soft. When it's angled away, it's harsh but the shadows still retain heaps of detail. It's a white interior with a silver reflector.

Sweet job. Subject is kinda meh but everything else is excellent, love the kicker lights. I'm guessing strip boxes? 8/10 *women will auto get higher score

Yesterday's shoot.

Nah, just a beauty dish. You can get amazing effects by changing the angle of the dish. These are the lighting setups for the shots:

Torso shot: This one is simple. Two snoots on the back shoulders and a beauty dish right in front maybe a foot or two from his face/body. I like the ambience of the 3 flash heads, made a nice grey so I didn't light the background, just let them flood.

Head shot: I changed the angle of the dish to create nice hard (but detailed) shadow. Just flooded the background with some heads.
I'll critique in a sec bro, sorry just needa finish something
