Point a camera somewhere it shouldn't be pointed. Easy peasy.

unusual perspective doesent mean that..

it means that the camera is pointing FROM an angle that is unusual for it, not that you point it at something that it usually doesent point.

i suspect that 80% of pictures wont even fit on the theme again

Perspective (visual), the way in which objects appear to the eye.

when talking about photography, the eye means the viewers eye. in order to produce a photograph that shows unusual appearance of objects, you need to put the camera in that perspective.

so no, you cannot use other perspectives than camera perspective or it falls out of the category.

Contest Theme:Unusual Perspectives.

I can't read anywhere that it has to be a visual perspective

You can as well choose to visualize a persons perspective somehow

Well obviously the theme will be followed with a photograph, not a poem or such.
But there are other ways to interpret perspective then to put your camera in a bottle or lay it down on the ground etc.
As I said ,you can visualize an unusual perspective in a whole different way then just point your camera from an awkward angle etc..

that couldnt be done in other ways than showing something from unusual visual perspective since these contests doesent allow photomanipulations. for example if you do this by taking a photo over someones shoulder to show the persons perspective to something, over the shoulder perspective to the person would be unusual visual perspective..

i never said that there isnt, did i? i just gave an explanation of what perspective means because CitizenScuba was misguiding people who didnt know it.

example photo #5 shows an unusual perspective to eiffel tower, the perspective is unusual because generally people take photos of it from different perspective. the camera in it seems to be on tripod and at pretty much the same heights as human eyes are.
