i used to shoot manual all the time, but then i moved to AV and now i use M only pretty rarely. sometimes when i need to shoot alot in same light i might take few test shots with av and meter from what i want to be metered at 0, check what shutter speed it gives and change to M.

i recently learned how to use multi spot metering and im pretty sure i will be using it most the time with AV now, because i can get really accurate exposures with it.

This is what I am finding myself doing. I try to shoot M all the time too, but lately I am finding it to be too much of a hassle with "quickly wanting to get that shot" that I want to try the other modes more. I think the only time I will use M now is when I can take my sweet ass time with everything and not have to worry about my photo being gone.

I'm really surprised how many people shoot in M most of the time. Do you not realize how inefficient this is?

LOL wat. It is total control of what you are shooting. Anything else is a waste of time. Why would you let the camera decide your exposure?

I have learned this within the past week, how inefficient it is. I find myself messing with the settings too much in certain situations rather than focusing on the photo. I am not going to use Manual mode for a while.

It's a flick of the thumb wheel and a flick of the finger wheel to change shutter/aperture.

To change aperture for me, I have to press & hold one button, while I spin the wheel with my other finger. I do not have two wheels - oh boy, that would be much more convenient!
