Well, resolution is not everything. Nikon has better performance with high ISO (important to me) and better AF, this is good too so considering all.

lol Ken Rockwell...
Sorry that guy is really a clown who shouldn't be taken seriously.
You have to know that the EF 16-35 f2.8 II isn't one of Canon's sharpest zooms and he actually compared
an ultrawide zoom with a standard zoom and a prime... even a noob like me knows that it's not really a fair comparison.

hmm does anyone know how good those "sauerkraut" cameras are compared to the Japanese ones?
I'd like to see a comparison between Leica M9 and Canon 1Dsmk3 and 5Dmk2 and Nikon D3X :D

A read a "impressions" of the Leica M9 in a earlier issue of Shutterbug this year and i don't think they did a IQ test either..

AFK googling.

Many reviews are well done. Any of these sites are not official so you can read them all and make your own idea, but until you do not test them yourself...

Size if nothing if you are not able to control it :P

Btw, for my needs a mamiya would be a pig to carry.

If you look at this comparison you'll know how bad the 16-35 really is. It's an outrage that Canon is charging 1700 for that crap

medium format are only useful in studios.
Despite the high price their high ISO performance are even worse than Sony A100 and I doubt they can even capture any fast moving objects.
