Umm.. I have a MK II and it's auto focus is faster than the 70-200 f/4 USM, the 28-135 USM, and a few other USM lenses from Canon.. How can you say it's slow?

Also, manual focus can be faster than any AF.

I have the mark II and have had the 70-200 f4L. The 70-200 simply blows the 50/1.8 out of the water in af speed and accuracy. In low light the nifty fifty just doesn't work at all when in af.

Now that I have the 135L, everything else just seems too darn on slow. >_<

the 50mm 1.8 II is awful in terms of af. mainly because of it´s accuracy.

Isn't the 50 1.8 II known for its shitty AF?

I should buy a nifty fifty instead of carrying around the 1.2 :\

I still dont get how to get the whole car in focus from my position. it´s always the back that is sharp and the front is blurry.

uhmmm ye that makes sense lol. why would it be different when doing panning than doing normal shots. I´ll try that. >.<

EDIT: I get pretty much the same results at F 11
