Went down to the barn today to take some shots of stuff around there. Figured out that the FM2 had a roll of film in it, so I figured I'd use that roll up at the barn. Didn't finish the roll, will do so tomorrow. Will post results.

I've got a few of these! I've been shooting film for a little while myself trying to do what you're doing, although I'm not completely switching to film.

These are a few of the old cameras I own. I don't really shoot with anything except the X-370 and once or twice with the 100 Land. I'm getting my Mamiya RB67 tomorrow, so I'll be shooting medium format for the first time.

I'm thinking about purchasing a zone VI 4x5 atm. Cost around $600 normally. I only shoot film though and never have had the desire to shoot digital. You shoot a different way with digital vs film.

Is that a large format?

Lies. With film its a constant reminder that you will run out and that printing will be expensive.

I don't think I'd ever go back to film.

Yeah, I can't seem to get into it either.... I really enjoyed it in school. I think if I had the exact same camera I used in school I might give it a thought.

I would never - EVER- go back to film unless a client wants me to shoot in film. Digital will reach 200 MP someday, making film useless. It's like using VCR.

Maybe some people shoot film for the fun of it. Sure there are better things out there, but they enjoy it. Its like me playing my old Sega Genesis, sure I have a PS3 which is clearly better. But I still think its fun to go play sometimes.

I have to agree here, film has some a sense of fun to it. I started on digital, but I still love to shoot film, maybe that's just because I don't really enjoy just clicking away. With film you actually need some kind of talent, on digital it's quantity vs quality...

You don't need more talent in film than you do in digital. You can shoot quality in digital. I do have to agree that film is a little fun but heavily impractical.
