eeebay really is a great place to start. I know exactly how you feel though about it being sketchy. Honestly though, if you make sure you read the rep of the seller, and really look into it you can't go wrong. There are actually mini store things setup within eeebay that are committed to selling camera equipment. Really its not all that uncommon to use eeebay. I've bought two old lenses off of eeebay, and I was more than pleased with the results of doing so. Honestly I'm currently trying to get two more lenses off of eeebay. I'm wanting the new model Nikkor 10.5mm Fisheye, as well as an old manual micro lens. My problem is the micro lens. I can't decide if I want the 55mm f/2.8 AIS micro nikkor, the 105mm f/2.8 AIS nikkor, or the seemingly rare kiron 105mm f/2.8. With the 55mm I'd have to extend it in order to get the 1:1 ratio, but seems like its the cheapest. The 105 Nikkor wouldn't need an extension, higher focal length (better thing?), bit more costly. Kiron, next to impossible to find (Nikon Mount), best quality, most expensive. Decisions, decisions.

me neither, ive only used amazon.
and some parts were missing, and it wasnt in good condition.
I'd trust and use eebay over Amazon in a heartbeat, for used camera equipment at least.
