It might be coinsidered theft by law, but its not away from enyone, so its not a wrong thing to do. If i had that money to spend on photoshop, i would buy it instead of downloading.
What gives you the right to use something you've not paid for?

uh you do know that most people would buy software and movies if they think it's good enough and worth it.
I for one buy movies and cds IF I really like them. As for computer games I don't think it's much of an issue here as you have to buy a legal copy to play online... just look at D2 I am sure some people here have probably bought 5 copies or more xD
right on. at 1000 bucks a copy it's definitely not worth buying for most people unless you are rich, spoiled or some kind of professional
Of course they wouldn't, and there's evidence that proves that a lot of people don't pay for movie and software they think is worth it, they pirate it instead.
So how about the movies and cd's you don't really like? You pirate those, and watch them or listen to them every now and again?
You don't need a legal copy of a game to play it online in most cases, and that's assuming there's no single player component. If you don't think it's an issue you really are an idiot, it's a massive issue within the games industry at the moment.
