will it be ruined if i accidentally touched it, i mean my finger slipped off the hinged door and i touched the curtain just a tiny bit

Not really. But... You can easily 'break' it. It has to slide opened and closed in order to expose.

So much stupidity going on in this thread.

First ring is the focus distance, so if it's set at 10, things at 10 feet will be in focus.
The third ring is the aperture, turn it to set it at whatever aperture you want.
The second ring just tells you what focus range is in focus at a given aperture, anything within the two particular numbers will be in focus, so say you're shooting at an aperture of f8, anything between the two 8's would be in focus.

To see your shutter working, just open the back of the camera, wind it on, and then press the shutter button, you'll see it open and close.

ah ok. The second ring might have something to do with your focus distance. I'm not too great with older lenses. What kind of lens is it?

Focus top, F stop bottom.
Lower number more open, higher number more closed.
More open more depth of field, less open more in focus less depth of field.
