UV lenses aren't really neccesary if you look after your camera well and you're not planning on shooting anywhere like a beach or in a forest where dirt/sand/etc can get onto the front element of the lens, but you might feel safer if you keep it on the Tamron.

They can cause some problems with sharpness though, so if you notice anything like that then remove it from the lens.
