I hate spidersss ahh.
But I love photography of them.
The first one is my favorite, i don't care for the second one, just because it's the back.
But it's still aamazing.

haha and I am scared of them but I still find them fascinating :D

Well the fella in the first pic looks like a orb-weaver spider so is the one on your hand, I think
I have no idea what that fat beast in the mailbox is though lol but it looks scary, very scary :(

I found a site with huge collection of photos and names of spiders: http://bugguide.net/node/view/1954/bgimage?from=0

I don't think any of the spiders we have in my area are dangerous..
That one I played with during a bood 10 minutes and it was only trying to get away from me...
When it started feeling secure, it just stayed on my arm....

lol that poor thing. I do play with bugs too sometimes but never a spider
I've seen some crickets at my work and they seem to be a lot safer to play with :D

For those who don't have Donor Forum access....
Someone challenged me to take a picture with me holding the spider....
Well here we go ;)
Not the best picture, but kinda hard to hold the camera in one hand in macro function and hold a moving spider with the other hand, and try to get a decent focus.....

Nah, the bigger the spider, the more inoffensive it is, well, where I live anyways ;)
My son used to be terrified of any spider, until we went to a fair and there was a reptile section, and there was a tarentula that people could let walk on their hands...
My son saw it and was brave enough to let the tarentula go on his hands..
From now on he doesn't mind spiders at all!
Even last evening, he held that big one in his hands no problem :D
He's gonna be just like me :D

Oh ok thanks! How do you go about finding the actual name of a spider? Haha it seems pretty hard to find :P

I started doing this at work on a slow day...
My first try was for the white spider with pink markings...
SO I Googled white spider and got all sorts..
Then I took the different latin names of the descriptions and made an image serch on Google also, only using the latin names.
That eliminated everything that was not accurate.
You learn a LOT doing this and it is very time consuming

Oh good, I've feared to click at this thread for a 2nd time, but I surely got to comment those pictures - GROSS (just the spider, not the picture) :P I like the 2nd one, it's even MORE frightening, waaah! I hate those things
