What is your internet browser?
If you don't have it yet, I recommend using Opera.
That is what I am using and almost everytime I right click on a picture, I gett all the picture info, like this for yours:

Orientation of image:  1
File change date and time:  2009:08:27 10:38:38
Image input equipment manufacturer:  Canon
Image input equipment model:  Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT
Exposure time:  0,0003125
F number:  5,6
Exposure program:  1
ISO speed rating:  800
Shutter speed:  11,6439
Aperture:  4,97086
Exposure bias:  0
Metering mode:  5
Flash:  16
Lens focal length:  76
Focal plane X resolution:  3954,23
Focal plane Y resolution:  3958,76
Focal plane resolution unit:  2
Custom rendered:  0
Exposure mode:  1
White balance:  0
Scene capture type:  0

Ofc I have no clue what most of it means,  but some info I understand..

Like for instance, why use such a high iso if you're shooting daytime outside?
Especially since speed is not an issue here, your bench is not going anywhere ;)

Are you friken serious.... I must have. I MUST HAVE ! BWA.

As far as the pictures go. Yeah the second one with more contrast looks better. What I would recommend you do. Is go out with a goal. Today I'm going to focus on my aperture. Or today I'm going to try and pay attention solely to the lines in my photos.

Its not like its really going to limit what you can shoot. You can still do it your way. Your just going to be exercising some of those photography thought processes.

curious pics, are you doing them all in b&w?

also if you want an account on zerrit.com to host your images, pm me what account name you would like.

it might be a little more reliable.

I dont do all of my photo's in black and white. I really do like that idea, it would kind of let me learn one step at a time, and when i see the end results i would know what the setting actually did. Ill pm you my whole album (only 54 pics) so you can check it out. And the image host would be great, i really appreciate it.

Im sick of typing in red.

Edit : I think this has a very bad focal point as well now that i really look at it. Im going to go out tomorrow and work on my DoF.

Nope, you've just gone too far and blown the highlights.

Dont be so negative.. Its not a bad picture, especially for someone who has just started.

It is bad though :/ Whether someone has just started out or not, they still deserve to get real honest criticism, both good and bad.

Newest pic looks good, the focus point isn't traditional, but that makes it interesting, low depth of field works well, but you've not gone too low which for me, makes it a bit better, a DoF that's too tight would result in a slightly less interesting photo, in my opinion anyway, I like seeing more than one flower in focus.
Colours look good as well, not over saturated and the highlights aren't blown. So definitely a vast improvement from the last two.

Tiny bit of saturation added.

I REALLY liked how this picture turned out. Nobody is hurting my feelings though, so if it looks like shit tell me haha.

Imho this is over saturated.
I would like to see the original, with the simple black/white levels adjusted.

For the background I suggest Selecting the green area with a slight feather and add a blur (very subtle) to blend it quick and easily.
Take Care,

The first one you showed was very badly cropped and way over saturated, this last one though looks good, nice composition, nice colours, etc.

The noise comes from either shooting at a higher ISO, or, more likely, comes from your over saturation, be sure to check your camera settings before you shoot so you're not on too high an ISO though, noise looks shit on digital images, unlike grain on traditional film.
