I hate you all....
Instead of helping me, you're making it more difficult for me.
Couldn't you all agree on one????

You all have good points....
Each post I read convince me to pick the one you point out to me...

Then the next one make me change my mind.... grrrr

I like # 10 a lot cause it's taken from a different angle that makes the dandelion look majestic...
But, I don't really know what category to put it in, as it's not a 'beautiful flower' but rather a weed that no one wants on their lawn... :(
I didn't crop this one though, I just had the settings on my camera on 'wide'...

I will admit to you all that I have a little something for the white spider...
The light is not the best though, that is probably the worst flaw in it...
But I like the composition and the originality. along with the rarity of the subject (really hard to find).
So I played a little with editing to try to boost the light on the spider..
The results are in this topic:

Picture # 5 is like a painting, which makes it really nice, but I'm surprised to see so many votes!
Maybe the judges would like it as much!
So hard to tell....

What I like about the bee, is that it is soooo clear, I can zoom it to the max and the bee will still be clear... And there is such details in the fact you can see her legs gathering the pollen from the flower...

The butterfly is not so original, but the colors are really nice and it is fairly well framed in the picture..
It was also a challenge to get so close without it flying away!
I was in macro mode as usual.. no cropping here..

The little stars, I like the alignement and the different perspective.
These flowers were in fact very small, about half an inch diameter...

The dragonfly is also incredible that I was able to get so close, cause I didn'T crop it to make it bigger...
But it's not perfect...
I checked and I had another one similar that was underexposed, so I tried to play with editing a little and got this one..

I couldn't find previous winners of this contest and I don't know if it was already held before...

The spider might not be a bad choice.

1 Absolutely. Great composition with the bee and awsome clarity accented by the flower tips.

I chose ten because it's a great picture, but since it's not the only great picture, I think that it was the mot unique. Good angle on it.

Others I like are three, four, and five.

I think your best shot is the Butterfly although I'm not a fan of those kind of photos. :)

I think #5 and #10 has the most commercial quality.

#5 could be brightened and cleaned (try and make it flawless)

They're both lovely little shots :)

Picked #6.
It's so unique. Normally a grasshopper is never in those types of places to take photos of. They like to try and blend in, and normally they hop away before you can get that close.
So having the yellow background really forces it to stand out. I  the contrast.
I have never seen a grasshopper that green before.
GREAT JOB Marie ! ! ! :D
Take Care,
