For instance, I was browsing in a photography magazine yesterday and found a picture someone had taken of dew on a spiderweb! I was absolutely stunned by the close detail of it and when I read what it was taken with I was even more suprised. Although the lens that was used for it was probably insanely expensive, the guy that took it used a rather old and now cheap slr camera. I can't remember exactly which one it was now, but it was one of the cheaper ones in the Nikon F series. The man who took the shot was a professional photographer so it goes to show that even the best don't always buy into the "best gear".

The reason I haven't posted lately is due to the fact that I'm currently on vacation in Maui (one of the Hawaiian islands) :) Since the only computer I own is a stationary (I'm also a computer enthusiast and I build my own systems :)) I naturally wasn't able to bring it along which has forced me to use my mother's laptop to store my photos on instead. Her screen is unfortunately calibrated rather poorly which is why I don't really dare to use it for post-processing. On top of that she only has an older version of Photoshop with fewer camera .raw edits. To top the already not so friendly combination off is that her language is set to Swedish AND it's a mac. All of that combined throws me off so much that I don't really dare to post-process my photos as I don't want to make a mistake on any of the edits of my better shots. YES I KNOW THAT SOUNDS CRAZY >;D! I suppose I could just upload them clean from the cam (as I already have on my most recent two posts) but I prefer to be able to more accurately set WB's etc before I do.
