Hm I've started to take quite many flash shots at night... Do you really need a diffuser if your flash is directional? I haven't really found any harsh shadows when I bounce it off the ceiling D;

Well the built in diffuser isn't very effective that's why I got an external one as well :)

I am still a newbie when it comes to flash photography and have only used my flash a few times but from what I have read and heard diffusers are very helpful when you have nothing to bounce off of. As it says in the guide it would make the object less overexposed and obtain more natural colors.

Hm. Yeah. Remind me to post some of my flash photography some time and I'll see if you guys find it satisfactory without a diffuser x'D lol<3
