Here's about 5 minutes of work.

Small white balance adjustment.
Then a Tonal Contrast mapping filter adjustment.
Noise Ninja noise reductions (Filter caused noise^^)
Small Gaussian Blur, then selectively erased the flower in the above layer.
Merged layers.
A bit of playing around in Curves.
Text added.

You can use GIMP if you can't afford / pirate Photoshop. It is free and has a lot of the same features as Photoshop.
I use CS4 and love it for things like stitching panoramic shots and adjusting brightness.

Anyone has used it?
Any recommendations?

I find PhotoShop to be at it's most useful for touching up photos, mainly adjusting the levels, cropping the photo and sharpening it (bearing in mind that I print my work).
You've just got to remember not to go over the top!

Yep! And not make the rookie mistake of thinking every shot will look better with added saturation. In fact, a lot of shots look better with decreased saturation :)

hello Marie,

I just saw your thread about photoshop, I am sure by now you're convinced that it is a good program.

the current version of photoshop is CS4, which is around 2~4GB

i also have the older version of photoshop (7.0) which is only around 120mb if you'd like to try it out.

either way, they are both licensed legally and free of charge.

this is me and kathie's thank you for all the hardwork and effort you've dedicated into this site.

I can give you a serial key to Photoshop Elements 7 too if you wish.
It came free with my Printer, so it's 100% Legal, and I have no use for it. ^_^

Hi :)
Thank you for your offers, but it is illegal to ask or offer programs on jsp....
I will do the free trial first and see what I can do.....
I really appreciate your offers, but I do not want to go against the site rules either..
