I was thinking of getting a 50D, or something better.

But I think I've decided on getting a cheap car instead, so I can drive myself places, like mountains and such, and not have to worry about time. ^_^

Get a truck! Then you could drive to a parking spot, then bike ride the rest of the way to snap photos :D

Class 6 highest speed.

The guy at thecamerastore explained it to me like this..

If your camera shoots Xamount FPS, you need a higher class (6 being highest) to record those frames to the card each second per shot.
So, the faster your fps, the faster the recording time needs to be on the card to be able to take full advantage of it! ^_^

Not really... It depends entirely on how much buffer memory your camera got. Many cameras usually store all the images in a memory buffer first then transfer to the card at least that's what I have heard.

6mb/s means it records the image mb's at 6 per second.
A JPG Image L is typically about 4.

So, depending on picture size, the faster the recording speed onto the memory card, the more advantage you take of faster burst modes.
