hmmm... thanks for all the suggestions..
But I'm on dial-up at home, so I can only upload pictures to post them here or on any site, while I'm at work on their high speed connection...
Unfortunately, I do not have admin access on any computer, therefore I can't install any program...
But paint seems to already be there....

Ehh I hate dial-up too... I had that for the longest time, then I got satellite internet. Its good for surfing the web and better then dial up for everything except playing online games, but its a little over priced, $60 a month for the slowest package.

try gimp if u can get an admin to install for you else there are software suites that you can run off usb memory sticks etc you'd be best not to change the photos at all in paint as flickr will automatically resize for you and won't damage the quality half as bad

Nope, not yet. :(

No one has run cable lines or anything like that around my house yet, just phone and electric. Verizon told us that they would be installed by 2010 so I should be able to get something better soon..

uh how about the telephone line? Dsl is usually through phone lines even though it's not as stable as cable but could be at least ten times faster than dial up modem and a lot cheaper too.

From Wikipedia:

Quote
DSL or xDSL, is a family of technologies that provides digital data transmission over the wires of a local telephone network. DSL originally stood for digital subscriber loop, although in recent years, the term digital subscriber line has been widely adopted as a more marketing-friendly term for ADSL, which is the most popular version of consumer-ready DSL. DSL can be used at the same time and on the same telephone line with regular telephone, as it uses high frequency, while regular telephone uses low frequency.

But I have heard that people who live in the rural area could have hard time getting it to work. Maybe you just live too far away from the civilization lol JK!

Haha, we live less then 4 miles from a town of over 20,000 people so... Ya... I don't think the lines are the problem, there isn't a box here. We have called a few times, checked online, and even gone into their building to see if it was available. They said that we would have it by 2010. I've been waiting for it for over 6 years so I'm not going to complain if I only have to wait 6 months at the most.

Same with me...
Cable doesn't reach the street I live on... and yes it is in a rural area...
The phone lines are extremely old and can only support 28 kb/sec (sometimes if I'm lucky I go upt to 31 kb/sec)...
There is absolutely no way to get a better connection other than satellite, and I can't afford it and it's not even better than dial-up for gaming....
