Ok, we got 6 on board for this, so are we just going to add each other and then have set times or just whenever people are on? If so, my MSN is demondl94@hotmail.com. Send me a message and I'll add whoever.

6 say Yes so far.

Whoever has MSN and wants to start doing this, PM Your Hotmail address to Chantal 7, and then she will PM Everybody who PM'd her the list of our addresses.
No set times, just whenever a few of us are online :)

On the note of Skype.
I use Skype, mainly for long distance VOIP calling to very close people.
Skype is good for video/voice chat but the instant messaging system is garbage in my opinion. I've been using it for 2 years now and prefer MSN over Skype for chat, but def.
Skype over MSN for video/voice.

Still think MSN is the way to go.
ALSO, if you have Yahoo messenger, it is compatible with MSN users***

If you're in - PM ME YOUR MSN/AIM/YAHOO ACCOUNT! I will then forward a message to all of you so we can all add each other. Or if you feel comfortable with it, Post it up!

The sharing photos thing is moot, because it's easier to just use an FTP service to upload them to a webpage, if people really want I can just set an FTP thing up on one of my unused webdomains and everyone can upload photos there, that way you can upload them at any size.

Skype is used by a lot of professionals, so it's useful to have it.

Moot? Seriously I have never heard of that word. I had to look that one up on dictionary.com LOL.

on skype you can call other people's computers and do web conference calls, as well as calling landlines, etc. But its the same as MSN in the sense you can type text messages. So basically its the same as msn but runs faster has more features and uses less computer resources.

I dont think there is a point discussing which messanger service is best, but i think it would be best for everyone to use skype as it is more professional, and for the reasons stated above. plus its so much faster at sharing photos with one another, which could be important in our case :)

Hmmm, yeah, I might get it. I'm not trying to say msn is better, or any program is better, I am just saying I don't want to have 100 programs on my PC that do almost the exact same thing - lol

I voted no.
I like the way people all post in each other's topics in this sub-forum, I don't see any advantage of msn at this point.
Plus I try to limit the amount of people who have access to that information.

But in MSN we can have literally LIVE chat, without any delays...And can talk about off topic stuff, get to know each other more etc.
