Today I had a camera with me at school today.
Some friends asked me why I have it, and I explained to them that I want to do some photography.
When I told them I want to do it in the future as part of my career, they laughed. =(

Don't be ashamed of that... it's what you like to do, so don't care about what they think is "cool" or not.

I hate it when people (my boss for instance..) shows off that he has a better camera and can take better pictures than anyone else.....
I like to show my pictures at work (especially the flower ones cause one co-worker loves flowers also), then my boss comes by and just says that he takes much better pictures because he has a (whatever) that's worth (don't remember nor do I care) and is the best digital camera on the market..... When all I can afford is my little point and shoot Canon....

Put a picture up of yourslef. No other photo will match your beauty inside & out. <3

Like Chantal said do not be ashamed. Photography is somehow special, because not many do it. Therefor nobody can feel the things you want to do.

-When I see a seriously overexposed portrait.
-When someone is in near proximity to me with a Nikon D300

That's about it :)
This should be a fun topic, good thinking Chantal

Man, there's a portrait company in England that seems to specialise in making portraits covered in white out. I always get pissed off when I walk past them.

There're millions of people that dabble in photography, so it's hardly an exclusive club ;)

Things that annoy me:
Leaving my camera on the highest ISO setting and forgetting to change it back.
People that shoot digital and have never shot any film.
Digital making photography far too easy, there's hardly any skill required anyore :(
Lots of film being phased out :( RIP Kodak HIE.
No use for coloured filters with digital photograhy :(

Haha, oh yeah I hate having it on the 10 second timer and forgetting. Then a bird or something fast flys past I go to take the photo of it, then it starts beeping for 10 seconds. I'm like wtf!!!

I know what you mean there.... I figured out a way to cancel the photo though... just press the button that you press to put it to the timer ^_^ then it will stop.

I would have loved to explore more in the film when I was in school - it was fun, I have to say. :)

When I get just the right shot exactly how I want it and compare its gear-related quality to a random one posted by the main people here. :fume:

Hahaha, I'd forgotten all about dust. It's not such an issue if you get your stuff developed at a pro lab.
