The v500 is probably the best option. If you need high quality scans get them done separately at a pro shop.

I think the quality will be enough for all digital stuff i need since i only need to get web size images from it. If i need to print a poster i can just get the negatives to the shop. Hopefully i got some shot from the gig i could make a poster from.

Yeah, it should be fine, web content is only 72 dpi anyway, so you hardly need an amazing scanner.

I got no idea what the resaults with the color film are going to be. I tried to underexpose most of the shots a bit, so that they wont go over the flash trace that much, but since the lights change so much i cant be sure how they were exposed.

i would have had to leave my backpack to cloakroom if i didnt show whats inside, jackets had to be left there allso. Its quite common to ban slrs in concerts, especially when the band is that big as Soulfly is

Just SLR's? What about compacts? Weird how they ban them... :S lol

dpi isnt telling even half of the truth of how good the scanner is, enyway i think the epson will be good enough, allso its a good that its not only a negative scanner, so i can scan some selfmade prints allso

well slrs are usually coincidered as "professional" camera, even tho meny people nowadays have dslr who arent pros. Superzooms and compacts were allowed, for some concerts those are banned allso

Definitely will be good enough, I've seen some good reviews for it. Scanning prints is good enough if they're well printed, especially for web content.

Yep, the reason i borrowed the 50mm 1.8 from mate was that the camera looks like pile of plastic shit instead of "pro" camera, im so happy my plans worked biggrin.gif

Someone uploaded few videos from the concert to youtube if someone wants to see

Shooting in that crowd wasnt the most easier place to take pics, especially few meters from the stage
