We are talking about just for Canon, and I'm just telling him how my 50mm is.
and far the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM is sharper then the both the Nikkor and Canon.
Carl Zeiss didn't start making Lens for Canon until around late 2008.
For the most part the Carl Zeiss 50mm 1.4 ZE has alot of AF issue for Canon, That issue? NO AF
for Nikon, still no AF, if I wanna shoot manaul I'll be happy to turn off my AF, or used my flim K1000
And it wouldn't be a good idea to tell a some one to go buy a carl zeiss 50mm 1.4 ZE lens, for $660 when he could get the Cannon EF 50mm f/1.4 for $325 half the price.
AND and if i wanna pay $660 I would and ask anyone they would buy the Sigma for $500.
By all means Carl Zeiss lense are super, but I even pick a Tamron over a Carl Zeiss lense if I needed the AF.

Hmm - interesting. I could have went with the Canon wide angle lens that they have, instead I chose the Sigma - simply because it was a hell of a lot cheaper.

but between $660 Zeiss or $500 sigma, sigma would still be the better choice for me.

Yeah - it's all about personal preference. Maybe if I was a professional I'd want the best out there, but the slightly lower end ones are good for me

Well I am not going to argue with any of you on which of the lenses are better because as Chantal7 said often it's about personal preference. I want to buy the Sigma 10-20 lens because I have seen so many wonderful pictures taken by it and of course by it's lower price and it looks much better the similar Canon lens with the exterior almost look like it's made of metal while the canon lens looks kinda cheap lol.

I am trying to collect coins from all the 50 states and so far I have managed to find 16 of those lol. The light was from my monitor and I think it's a great light source for close up pictures of small objects and yes I am too poor to buy a macro flash lol.

lol - I have all the state quarters except for 3 of them

I might consider taking pictures of some of the coins I have with reverse macro; some of these coins are really old sweet - just got a new idea for my next photo.

OMG! hahaha well I guess I am far behind. Well I do find quite a lot of interesting coins at my work almost everyday so my collecting is growing fast Now I just need to get some albums and stuff to put those coins instead of letting them laying around hahaha.

I really like those old coins too and I usually only look for Canadian coins made before 1969 at my work unless it's one of those rare ones like 50 cents lol.

I think coins are really interesting objects to take close up pictures of and I am going to try to take some more later on .

you can still put old zeiss class to canon even tho they just started making them with canon mount lately. Enyways the new version of zeiss 50mm 1.4 kinda sucks, its no better than canon one in eny terms, its just lacking af and makes nasty looking bokeh.
