im not a photographer myself, but i sure do interest in photography.

shots that always attract me are the ones taken during riots and demonstrations.
the ones involving people standing in teargas, and taking their stand.

i cant find the right one sadly. else i would have shown you my favorite photo ever.

I have recently taken a lot of interest in this sub forum, as I enjoy photography a lot in my spare times...
Most people here are very talented and I could label them as 'pro'...
But I have noticed and was very disappointed by some of the negative comments made about some pictures, even some really rude comments that do not have their places here.
Not everyone is a pro, and everyone tries to do their best, posting either their pride shot, or a shot they need help with.
I find it really helpful for everyone when a pro gives his input as to how to improve this or that.
But I despise when users just say negative comments that are not intended to help, but rather to put down someone elses work.

Amen to that. I personally believe that a true pro is not only good at taking pictures but is also humble and helpful.

Anyway I was trying to find a portrait among the few I have taken so far and could only find this picture somewhat acceptable and that's only because the big smile on that cute kids face lol. I really wish that I wasn't such a coward and walked closer to get a better and more clear picture of those happy campers.

and one of my favorite cityscape/landscape photo

I just stumbled upon this photo in a friend of mine's Flickr stream. http://www.flickr.com/photos/spencerh6
I just though it was really cool, but then I found out that this is 100% legit, NO Photoshop used!!

This is actually called a "plughole" it is a hole, in the water, that is used to stream water through a big dam!

I though it was really cool, and wanted to share it with you guyz happy.gif

Edit:
WOW, I found another image done by him that is even better!!

And found out a bit more info, they put these in place to stop the dam from over flowing after a huge flood happened
a while back.
