xp black edition is simply so good it cant get eny better, vista is just slower and everything is harder to do in it

Actually, Vista is a lot easier in soem regards, the search function is incredibly useful, and it's only slow if you're running it on a bad system, a good system will run it fine.

Vista's UI is WAY more easier than "Xp Black Edition"

And, Vista is only slow if you don't have enough RAM to back it up.
I think 3GB is good enough for now.

Do you have the function to switch between windows with the press of a button in XP?
Or to "Search" directly from the start-up menu?
And Windows Sidebar keeps me up to date on twitter, weather etc.

No such thing as it "taking too much memory"
Just get a good system to run it and your fine.

Running Vista DreamScene (Animated desktop backgrounds) and Sidebar with twitter, calender and weather (All 3rd party gadgets) only uses 4% of my CPU and only 1GB of my 3 Gigs of RAM (Will have 6 Gigs soon)

I run vista ultimate because I HAVE to since XP64 is utter crap.

Still hoping for something better around the corner though...

Windows Ultimate is like the best so far.
Windows 7 looks to be better once SP1 comes out.

if you havnt done so already make sure u've got a good paging file size and you'll have no probs
