do not buy cameras just because they look "cool". They are just like people you can't judge them by their looks

You should go to a local camera store and hold each of those Canon cameras in your hand and get to know how they exactly feel in your hands. Oh and a 50D still has a crop sensor just like the Rebel series if you want to get really serious with photography I suggest you getting EOS 5D or Nikon D700 which have 35mm full frame sensors.

Professionals usually use xxd series as backup cameras, some might use xxxd just because theyr cheap and they dont want to spend alot for backup camera

well im really happy with this thing if got now and yes when (if) i get a lot better at photography i may consider a xx series but the camera i really like atm is one of them Nikon d300's - looks great and ive heard its awsome photo-taking wise.

its the same price as a 50D as well
