actually with the lens zoomed in to 24mm you will not have much distortion at all...

@chantal7

Well, the only thing you will need to get used to is the wide angle of view, you will have to be aware of what you are sticking into the composition and also the fact on perspective distortion (it's optical law, nothing wrong with the lens).

Okay. So I will see distortion before I take a picture, if there's any (and if I look properly)? Thanks again for the help.

regarding the Graphic design forum:

I am not sure about you but Im kinda regretting that I posted my new signature on there and asked for advice course Ive been accused of infringing on someone's copyright.
I also noticed that nobody there really seem to have anything good to say about your signature either. seems there are a lot of douches there lol

I am kinda wondering if they should create a subforum for those of us who like to make signatures out of pictures that were taken by ourselves.
or how many of you guys are actually into making signatures at all tongue.gif

hope you dont mind me posting an OT post in your thread

They are graphic designers in that forum ... they are hardcore assholes when they know shit about pixel design. To be honest, all the sig's I've posted there have gotten crappy feedback. One reason why I rarely post there. Who the hell cares anyway, I take pictures, not design 300 x 100 tiny little images. I create massive poster size pictures with my camera with just a snap that pwn their little tiny ass "ego" signature.

haha so freaking true! lol thats exactly what I was thinking just couldn't put into words. hope you dont mind me saying this but when you are angry or upset or just being serious you could say some very unexpected and intelligent stuff lol

well thats why I was kinda wondering if any other members in this sub forum make signatures as well, especially of photos they have taken. hmm and if it would be against rule to post signatures made of photos taken by us in this forum ohmy.gif I mean its a combination of photography and graphic design biggrin.gif

hehe just took some time making another one but I am not sure if i like it though

I've heard good reviews on it, it's around my price range that I want to spend for one of my first lens purchases. I think it's a great choice for my first lens, other than a kit lens. Have you guys used this lens or ever hear anything about it? smile.gif Feel free to share opinions, thoughts, other ideas, whatever. I am not buying this for another couple of months so we have lots of time haha.

Great lense, i have one of them and they're really nice. But i warn you, filters(which are very nice for landscape photography) arent cheap for this type of lense..

yea, but at 10mm the distortion is so huge that the photo would most likely look like a balloon and would need so hard cropping that you could just crop the edges off, or use the lens at 15+mm.

lol this is absolutely not true, you hardly notice the distortion unless you have the object you are taking a picture of very close to the camera.
