got the for 900 euros each.

I would say that the 17-40 is pretty much the kind of landscape shots. Personally I use the 24-70L on my 5D.
24mm on FF is wide enough for me.

XD

The 40D is a fantastic camera, I had it before my 5D. Have fun with it, it really really delivers.

lol well I am more curious than excited tongue.gif dont really want to spend hours playing another computer game again wink.gif

I took a few shots yesterday and the results were a little bit disappointing but it was mostly because I am newbie and I haven't got used to shooting with a DSLR biggrin.gif

forgot to ask why you "upgraded" from 40D to 5D I mean 5D is a year or two older. is it because you are into landscape photography and wanted a full frame sensor instead of APS-c? tongue.gif

just because I didn't need the speed of the 40D, I mainly take portraits and landscape.
I am also a fan of the shallow depth of field the full frame allows.
I also upgraded to take advantage of my lens, mainly the 24-70. It's cool on APS but much much better on full frame.

hehe spoken like a true photographer smile.gif yeah I have heard the expensive L glass lenses are kind of a waste on those APS-c cameras because they can't take the full advantage of them
