What does "bored' mean??? :o
j/k
I haven't had use for this word in like forever......

Question regarding lenses....
Can you use old lenses (not auto-focus) on new digital cameras?
Brand: Canon..

I went n a store and the seller was obviously too busy on whatever he was watching on his computer and didn't look like he wanted to take the time to give me advice on a new camera...
His loss cause when I'm ready to buy, I'll go somewhere else...

But he said can't use old lenses on new camera.., not even with an adaptor..
Is it true or does he only want to make sure I buy new lenses with a new camera?

Cause I have a set of nice ones already... just... old...

You can use some old lenses on cameras, I know that you can use any Minolta AF lens on any of the Sony Alpha Series and you can use all of the Minolta lenses including M42, MC, and MD mounts with an adapter.

I'm not sure about Canon, but I'd assume you can do similar.

Bah, try sitting around all summer not really do anything, it'll come back to you soon enough. :P

I know you can use old Nikon manual focus lenses on new autofocus DSLR's, and I also know that Canon changed their mount at the time auto focus was starting, so I don't think you'll be able to get them to work, unless there's some sort of adaptor available.

The newer Canon's take EF-S and EF lenses in the case of the non pro cameras, the pro models, 1D and 5D only take the EF lenses. (if what I'm reading on Wiki is right anyway).

For a traditional full frame camera, the normal lens to use would be an 85mm fast lens, because you've got a crop sensor body, you can probably get away with using a 50mm lens. Bonus being fast 50mm lenses are cheap and usually of great quality.

As an aside, got my Nikon F100 yesterday, loaded a roll of Ilford HP5+ this morning and went shooting to see if everything was in good condition. Was taking some photos of the goods entrance to the local shopping centre and a cop stopped me, seemed to think I was doing dodgy things. So yeah, had to give my details to a cop.
Anyway, shot that roll, and then couldn't find a single place in town that'd process black and white film. So I've got to go shoot another roll, this time of a Kodak colour process B&W film.

Hi Guys - I know I am a bit inactive.

I do not have any internet connection at home so I am using my parents connection. Haha.
I am going to visit London on Monday, and then I will post some photos here.

I hope you all are having a good time. :)

Thanks Veilside. :)

I am going to see a lot of cultural things, because it is school-trip. We will also go to local pubs and having a good time. :D
I am fascinated by the lights at night, I am going to take a lot of photos of it.

Bah, I hate to take the plane. I tried it once and I though I was about to die! Haha. :D
