Pretty sure it does that to everyones pants  Grats!

Does this photo seem ok for a sneak peek? Yes it is slightly "vintagey" as far as the edit, I mean more like the colors and such.

So Im pretty excited, I just posted the sneak peek last night and Ive already had 4 inquiries about shoots :D. Newb, child, and maternity, which Ive never done maternity but Ive always wanted to. I ended up editing the photo above a little more too, I noticed there was a yucky green cast in some spots and a magenta cast on her belly. Plus I wanted it a little more rosy and feminine.

And a bw:

Does anyone know why a fabric drop thats black and white would have green in it in photos? I dont understand where the green is coming from >.<

you mean your highly patterned backdrop is B&W? My best guess is chromatic aberration, you can see that in the B&W version there is no green, because you've masked it in editing.

tbh i didnt even notice it was supposed to be greenish, and imo it looks pretty damn good. complements the pink and magentas ;)

Yes. The photos were a bit greenish all around, I had to get rid of a lot of color casts. I should have posted a close up version, you can REALLY see the greens. So is this a lens problem? This is unedited:

ha doubt it :)

Hmm... the editing seems quite odd.. it's very flat in contrast and the child's skin is quite cold?

Same deal with that image.. flat in contrast and quite cold?

And congrats on the inquiries! Keep at it.. if you impress clients they will always refer you to others! Referrals are the most efficient way of advertising!

And in other news, I just finished my website. I basically scraped everything i've shot in the last ~8 years and started fresh, only images from late '12 and '13 haha

This is a LIGHT/EXPOSURE/WHITEBALANCE problem!

The child was too far from the light source and it's underexposed. The background "bokeh" is also distracting.

I don't know if you can move the background but bring it really close and sit the kid closer to the light source or move it closer.
