Sadface. That rule still applies to landscape shots with a UWA lens? The DoF is still pretty darn deep at this focal length even with a small aperture of f/4 -f/5.6. I thought everything in the picture adds a nice touch.. the monk added a little accent to the image. I picked up the accent tip from Martin Bailey's Podcast about landscape with UWA :[

As your your pic. The exposure is spot on.. but it's not too interesting really. 6/10.

Since there are so many tree pics today.. i'll post mine too.. it's boring too but meh.

Your photo is just like Marie's, it lacks a defined focal point. I guess you could say it is their, but I still look for something else after I see the tree. :( 3/10.

I don't think he liked my camera.

5/10

It is a very good photograph however I think it's too grainy and too dark of lighting. It doesn't help that he looks so unhappy either! Do you have any of him smiling?

too bright in parts, like that upper part is perfect but the other part needs some burning, her right leg looks massive because of the lighting
otherwise i like it :) i'd say 7/10

i think it's a tad over-sharpened though :O

I love it, almost. A few things ruin it for me, such as the wires and how the top of the building is cut off.

6/10

Wow did you have someone checking for incoming cars when you took that picture???
I love the use of the lines!!! 6.5/10
But my eyes keep following them and I would personally have prefered a smaller aperture on that one (larger F stop)..
My eyes would have followed the lines and be happier (my eyes are old mind you...)

Here's mine...
Not much change, another tree....
Remember all, I'm trying to enter a photo contest about wild plants and trees of my area....
When the contest is over, in October, I promise I won't be taking pictures of any tree!!!!!

No cropping, the only post editing was a very small amount of saturation.
If there is more editing that I should do, please always let me know, cause post editing iis something very new to me...

Haha, it was a long road and it was quite so I could hear and see anything coming long before it was near me.

I think I'd give you photo about a 4/10. It is nice, but when I look at it I try and want to look at the sun and the top of the tree. They conflict and ruin it for me.

Marie i like your image but i think you could have made it look alot better.

for example i would have taken a shot of the tree from a different angle so you didnt have the sun spot behind and exposed for longer to have more detail on the tree
6/10

BTW is it a marijuana tree? lol
