Hard to rate...
I'll go for a 6.5/10
Technically it look well done, but the interest in the subject is close to none..
But the blue gradient is beautiful :)

Here's my latest upload:

I don't really know what to rate this.. My eyes wander around the photo looking for something to focus on. What is the focal point here? Is it the knot? I can't give it any more than a 3/10. If I should even give it that.

It's a bit to bright I guess. A lot wrong.

Vouch that 3/10, interest in a out of focus tree is more than close to none -.-

Interesting concept.. Was this taken with a infrared modified camera or was this the results of post-editing? It's indeed somewhat too bright IMO.

And the bokeh on the top left is somewhat distracting.. I'm sure in the regular color version.. that wouldn't be the issue.. But if the post work you did.. it sticks out alot.

8/10 Just because it's something different. :)

I want to get this rated. It's my favorite shot in the entire series.. the rest only shows the filter effect.

I got the Marumi Super DHG CPL here.

http://www.2filter.com/marumi/marumisuperdigitalHG.html

A comprehensive review here. The Marumi Super DHG tied the more expensive B+W Kaesemann CPL for 1st place. While hoya was like #5 or 6.

I know it's hard to believe no post is done.. I'll be happy to show a S/s of my lightroom panel with the .CR2 raw file.. all the adjustment toolbars are at default value. Nothing done to it.

My photo was simply taken in black and white with a slower shutter speed on a sunny day. This caused everything else to be extremely bright other than the mostly black cat.

5/10 on the last photo. There are too many things I try to focus on, the clouds, the man, the tree. It really ruins it. The colors and clouds and brilliant though.

I used way too high of an ISO and I didn't notice it until post-processing. :(

Sadface. That rule still applies to landscape shots with a UWA lens? The DoF is still pretty darn deep at this focal length even with a small aperture of f/4 -f/5.6. I thought everything in the picture adds a nice touch.. the monk added a little accent to the image. I picked up the accent tip from Martin Bailey's Podcast about landscape with UWA :[

As your your pic. The exposure is spot on.. but it's not too interesting really. 6/10.

Since there are so many tree pics today.. i'll post mine too.. it's boring too but meh.

Well, I'm not a real fan of midday shots and I think the lighting conditions are pretty bad. It looks technically fine, there is highlight control while still retaining details in the shadows. 3/10?

Maybe shoot the tree more side on, 90 degrees from the sun with a polarizer and respect the rule of thirds. Here's an example i slapped up (very rough, sorry)

The poloarizer, when used 90 degrees from the sun, will give a nice dark gradient in the sky and will push the white in the clouds.
