NO, use Lightroom, i have changed and it seriously seems way easier

my advice is dont go for the f4, you will just be dissapointed, every1 i know that bought the f4 was

takes me much longer to shave, then again a have a hairy face, almost have to shave my eye lids  and my hair is thick

I seriously have downloaded it about 5 times, I just cant deal with it. I know everything about PS, its too hard for me to switch ._. Plus my favorite actions are from PTM, and they dont do LR.

Depends on the price  I dunno, I guess I cant really see being disappointed over a lens like that, just because I havent had anything close to it yet. Id probably be disappointed if I tried the 2.8L IS and then tried that, haha.

Excuses >.>

Ill look them up, maybe they have them for PS

Well still, how much are you selling it for? I wouldnt mind starting out with that to see if I might like the 70-200 in general.

My lord, guys have ONE tiny area to shave..ridiculous

pretty sure they aren't for ps..

tell me exactly what you need help with for lightroom?

i mean, the stuff you shoot with kids.. should be 95% done through lightroom, it would increase your efficiency dramatically!

i think f4 is too slow for you, it's a studio lens, outdoors kind of sucks.. but i'd probably look at ~1000.. it's pretty mint, a tiny chip and the hood is a little worn, should make me break even for a macro :D

well i dont use actions/preset etc, i have 100s of them (for PS and LR) but not used them yet
i say try LR out when u hav a specific photo you want to edit, watch a tutorial on that specific thing and then go ahead and do it, its so simple even i managed

I love my actions. I do 80% of my editing in RAW then I add little touches with actions. I never use actions on full opacity.

I have done that ._. I really hate the interface. Plus I dont even see any options for content aware or clone stamping, and those are pretty essential to me.

So does anyone here try to get clients through facebook mostly? People dont seem so interested in websites anymore as they do with facebook.

If so, how do you go about promoting yourself? I just took out an ad, but I dunno what else to do. I see all these horrid pages with thousands of likes and I just dont get why I hardly have any D:

photography as a business is 90% marketing -_-

just do free shoots and make friends and do obnoxious marketing campaigns, and hope you live in a semi-big market i guess.

I am actually guilty of doing this. I thought it would help make my page look better and more interesting (I got about 200). Unfortunately most of those likes have disappeared, probably because the pages were bots and shit.

What can I say, Im desperate.

I know, I totally hate that.

I reaaaally cant make myself do free shoots anymore. I feel like Ive done my share of free, and I will never get taken seriously if I continue doing that. Plus I put way too much into my shoots and processing to give work away. I live in a very tiny town, the shoots that I have gotten have been either me asking the person if they want photos done (when she was very pregnant I asked about newborn photos) and she liked my work so later on she referred a friend to me who got photos done. Other than that, nada. I dont even get any inquiries, and its really mind boggling to me. Well Ive gotten wedding inquiries and thats it, but I turn them down because thats not what I want to do.

Friends is the most important thing.. get to know people in your industry, scratch people's backs and they will scratch yours (the good ones at least)

Don't suck up but always be nice. If you become the industry asshole you will suffer!

Go to local cafes/gyms/children's stores or places young mums hang out.. Drop flyers or business cards. Talk to people on the street. If you see a really cute kid or couple tell them you would love to take their pictures.

Be upfront about your intentions but not aggressive.

I'd hate to get into the stuff you are doing, it's such a saturated market. What I want to do is too, but I guess there are more rungs to climb ha
