:D

On another note. Just spent 5 days in Seattle with my girly. Had an awesome time. We went all over the city and seen everything we could in a short amount of time. Only had about a day and a half to go sight seeing and shooting. Seattle is such a cool place, I am honestly disappointed I didn't get to spend more time exploring with my camera. Spent the other days at a water polo tournament, that was quite awesome as well. Good times. Anyway... I will upload some photos when I can get around to it.

Can't wait. I will be sure to point out your girly's orange skin tones.

Well, most of your pictures are just too bright(for my taste).
That could be fixed with some postproduction.
I don't know why but i have the feel that most of your pictures were autoed.
First shot is cool(predator) but please remove the filmy border.
As for the other predateur shots, they got kinda floating head syndrome.

What is floating head syndrome?
As far as auto... I usually work in speed priority and the camera picks up the aperture, unless I am positive that if I work with shutter priority, I'll have a fast enough speed to avoid movement blur.
I have never worked in full auto mode, nor do I want to go through the hassle of it, especially while taking pictures of kids, outside.
If you think they are all too bright, please show me an example of an outside portrait that would be decent so I know what to look for...

Here's some basic stuff until I find what I'm looking for:

i think the auto presets in photoshop etc is what was meant
it is far better to shoot in Aperture priority for portraits, and then obv just take note of the shutter speed it is using
for example, the face paint pic needs a very slightly larger DoF, generally a head on shot both eyes should be in focus
you certainly need a reflector for out door shots

I have offered to some co-workers to do some free photo shoot of their kids, after showing them my pictures...
None of them took the offer...
But I must admit in my line of work, most people think they are better than most, and prefer to do things their way themselves...
Either that or they didn't find my pictures that good :(

Don't feel bad Marie! Someone one day might come along and ask you to take photos for them... it happened to me, a family friend asked me to take some photos, and all honesty, I've never done people before, and I didn't even have any previous work to show them.... they just wanted casual shots down at a park or inside their house... nothing special, they knew I wasn't pro, and I even offered them to see the photos first before feeling obligated to give me any money.... at that, I didn't make a whole lot of money from them, maybe at most 60 bucks, I just did it more for the experience. One day someone will ask you, :) Maybe you could even go through your family and take family pictures!
