Question did i overkill with skin softener?

i like the exposure
i like the natural light
i like the expression you captured

not a big fan of the weight /darkness/emptyness of the bottom half of the photo

big fan of using vectors in determining composition and where the eye is drawn too

is this any better?

just a little tip

try putting the eyes in the thirds of the frame and make sure the focus is on the eyes. you can cut a little off the top of the head if you need too.

here are some examples. notice the composition of the shot. dont be so concerned with the after effects. if you take the correct shot there shouldnt be much to do.
