Are you doing the reverse fifty for macros?
Care to take a photo of your set up on how you do these?
Where you've been anyway, haven't see you in awhile. I ended up selling my fifty, because I owed someone some money.

Basically my day time job absorb whole my time

ive been promt to Quality and Compliance and had to learn shit loads regulations and laws plus whole bunch of procedures. Don't forget that also my son is almost 3yr old now and his my 2nd job

so didnt had much time for 'internet social life'
As it comes to the set up I can take shot of the set up for you not a problem but before this let me specify how it looks. (it's 7-17am here in uk and i don't feel like messing with all shit again)
canon 5dmkII + 2nd hand 50mm f1.8 + tripod
2 kitchen chairs + glass from picture frame placed on top of the chairs. Then i took heat safe glass bowl and filled up whit water and monster babbles liquid (my son playing with this in garden

i prefer that liquid over washing up liquid because is thicker and white
light is a one 8w PHILIPS cool daylight bulb under the chairs right under the bowl (light was little bit to harsh so I defused by placing my son white cotton towel under the glass you will see what i mean on picture soon)
then right before i start shooting i made my self a cocktails of some fruits and vegs im on a diet im not eating anything for 16h and then i have 8h food window to build up my calories so far i lost like 4kg in 2weeks

goal is to rich 90kg i started from 107,7kg
right so cocktails and straw thats what you gonna use to blow some air to produce some babbles

camera setting was f13 1/40sec iso 800 but sometimes i was just playing around
sorry for bad english ^ i need to work on this to... my health and safety manager is bitching about mistakes

You can get a reverse mount for under $10 on amazon. Ive got an old canon lens with a reverse mount, but I havent really used it much yet.
You really need some good light for macro.
I had this set up when i was using sony a300 pretty good too.
