i actually really like this shot. i dont think you need to go as drastic with the edits as Eruionmel did. The shot tells a story. With the angle you have, the age of the door, and the knob being brand new, it paints a picture. No matter how old something gets, it still has use and people will find a use for it.
that being said, i would try a few different (minor) edits. Eruionmel did a great job with the black and white shot but i really like seeing color detail you have in your shot. maybe just enhance the colors that dont stand out as much and make the darks a little darker.
