i'd save up and buy the better lens. you can still learn things without the lens.

I have 2 other lenses. I just need a fish eye for skateboarding(the only thing ill be shooting)

I mean I know some cheap fisheye or wide angle for 150 won't be good but
I need something for the next few months til I sell my magic collection.

i think you already know your options. other than a fisheye/wide angle converter, which also wouldn't be as good, you have a nice wide angle prime or any of the wide/ultra wide selections from the other pages. most those will run $400+ used depending on condition and age etc...a 35mm prime would be pointless since you have a crop sensor and it would be tighter than usual, around the 50mm standard.

but hey, i've seen plenty of fisheye skateboarding pics and most of them are purposely edited to look more grungy and blurred, so maybe test the converter or one of those cheaper lenses

Like I said, I'm not gonna be posting the pictures or entering into contests.
I just want to be able to get close up and personal in the shots and get some good angles with it. I just don't want something that I'm still standing 5-6 feet away with ya know?

I'll check it out.

I like that lens but once again, if I'm spending nearly 400 I'd spend the other 200-400 and get the better one.

I just need a cheap temp that will work with my camera.

Wanting to spend like 100-150 on it,

I'm so lost.

I've seen like
Samyang 8mm and tokina 10-17mm stuff

The local store has the tamron 10-24mm and It looked really good. Its 500 new and I was thinking about getting it to try it out at the skatepark for a bit but.

I just wanna find a solid cheap fish eye for now but I think I may just wait and add a extra few hundred and buy a used high dollar one.

-__________-

I wish someone else had some shots with a good lens for this type of stuff so I can see.

All the examples i've seen online look good, ( especially since its skateboarding and the close up ones don't have to be the greatest quality.)

I may just get one of these $200 ones used or whatever for a temp.

Unless That Tamron would work

I am getting the Tamron tomorrow morning and trying it out. 10 day return policy, ill just bring it to the skatepark and shoot it all weekend.
Unless there is something better for cheaper or a little more.

I am figuring out that a super wide angle is not gonna be needed and something that would be used for other stuff is gonna be what I want.
I would like something that works well with Human photo subjects. Not really portraits per say but ya.

those words in conjunction to glass rarely go together. if you want quality you need the money.

like I said, for now.
I don't expect the best fisheye ever at 100 bucks.

Well I think the tamron looked nice for a wide angle.
I just want something very good for getting close up and shooting but also good for shooting other things like portraits etc.

I'll pick up the tamron tomorrow and go from there. its a 10 day return policy so.

wide angle lenses are not good for shooting portraits due to the distortion
