Omg I love that first one, its like a still from an old Christmas movie. Im also glad we dont really get snow here though, lol.

Glad you made this, I always have a million different questions.

What lab do you all use? Ive been using WHCC, but I read a review recently comparing pro labs and ProDPI came out on top. Im going to be getting the 5 prints from them soon but I wanted to hear what everyone else thinks.

I used labs from Melbourne and did a lot of printing myself so I honestly can't help you there!

Don't anything new to post other than a snapshot of the dog in the snow.

been very inactive photographically speaking and i am looking for inspiration.

Normally the winter months feel me with creative ideas and moody skies used to make me think out the box. I'm drawing a blank guys!

lithfkn love the first shot so simple but great perspective, and the black and white conversion really worked (why no exif data :-( ?? )

i remember when i was starting out, taking out my mamiya with 3 rolls of film into a snow filled hyde park in london, and all the negatives on all 3 rolls using the cameras meter were under exposed.

I pulled them off my facebook page so maybe it crushes the exif? Not sure... But off the raw it says shot with 1dsIII + 24L.. exposure.. ISO800 1/80th @ 1.4

I used lightroom for everything, have some really nice black and white presets which come from VSCO.. well worth the investment if you can't find them by other means ;)

How much under were the shots? 1-2 stops? If you meter off white snow it meters at 18% grey so it will always be under.

dno. im bad with updates
as long as i see things working for me i dont bother to update ^^
changed ps only cuz didnt find 5DIII RAW support for CS4  ;D

CS6 is so much better than CS5, it's much faster, new cool features and has auto save (fucking life saving)

I have to alternate between the two often because there is a certain extension I use which doesn't hook up to CS6 :(

How does everyone manage the weather and going out to shoot? It's been miserably cold here in Boston and currently looking to improve on my landscapes, except i can't find the drive to go out and shoot in 5 degree weather lol.

Having a real winter is new for me so the motivation is there although I'll be in the studio much more than outside over the next 2 months ha
